Katja Thater não deu hipóteses e conquistou o título de Mixed Games Player Of The Year, um prémio integrado nos EPT Awards 2010, mas que, ao contrário dos outros, permanecia por entregar desde a Gran Final da sexta temporada do PokerStars European Poker Tour, em Monte Carlo, no Mónaco.

Depois de muito equilíbrio, a jogadora alemã, da Team PokerStars Pro, levou a melhor num torneio "8-game", vencendo uma concorrência onde pontificavam os alemães Matthias Kuerschner e Benjamim Kang (Team PokerStars Pro Alemanha), os norte-americanos Scott Clements e Mike Gorodinsky, o australiano Joe Hachem (Team PokerStars Pro Austrália), o finlandês Ilari Tahkokallio e o russo Alex Kravchenko (Team PokerStars Pro Rússia).

O Mixed Games Player Of The Year contempla o melhor jogador em oitos vertentes do poker. A saber, Limit Triple Draw Deuce to Seven, Limit Hold' Em, Limit Omaha Eight or Better, Limit Razz, Limit Stud, Limit Stud Eight or Better, No Limit Hold' Em e Pot Limit Omaha.
